A bit about my self. I grew up in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia for most of my life before moving to Houston. There, I had developed my love for food. I would always eat out regularly, and 99.5% of the time the food turned out to be top-notch. I was proud to say that I had very few issues with restaurant. The worst issue I had was food poisoning from contaminated chicken during a road trip to Madinah. Otherwise, everything was great!
After moving to Houston, I was curious to see what the halal food market was like. Before starting the blog, I would rarely go out, as I was in high school and still did not have my car. Now as a college student with a car, I have the freedom of driving around town and seeing what the market is like. From the time I moved to the start of this blog, I can tell that the market has expanded from a concentrated area to being dispersed around town. For example, instead of driving 30 miles (48 km) to eat, I can go eat at a restaurant that is 5 miles (8 km) away.
This blog will give a first-hand look at what the halal restaurant industry looks like not just in Houston, but all over the world. It will grade how the service and food turn out to be.
